![]() While attempting to capture Skywalker on the planet Ossus, Sedriss was killed by the ancient Jedi Master Ood Bnar, who the Executor in turn managed to kill as his final act. Palpatine was pleased with the Executor's fidelity, and he tasked Sedriss with the capture of the Jedi Knight Luke Skywalker. The Executor eliminated several dark side adepts who attempted to seize power in Palpatine's absence, and eventually, Sedriss' faith was rewarded when the Emperor was reborn in yet another clone body. ![]() Palpatine died yet again at the Battle of Pinnacle Base in 10 ABY, but in his absence, Sedriss remained confident that Palpatine would return once more. Sure enough, the Emperor was reborn, and to reward Sedriss' loyalty, he made his apprentice Executor of the Imperial Military, leader of the Dark Side Elite, and arbiter of Operation Shadow Hand, a series of strikes against strategic non-Imperial worlds. Sedriss, however, and many Dark Side Adepts like him, retreated to the Deep Core world of Byss, to await Palpatine's return in a new clone body. When Palpatine died at the Battle of Endor in 4 ABY, the disparate elements of the Galactic Empire turned on one another. To honor his new Master, Lok took the old Sith word "Sedriss" and made it his new name, keeping only the initials of his old one. Palpatine was able to convince Lok to swear fealty to him, and so the Emperor began training the mercenary in the ways of the Force. Lok was arrested and sentenced to death for the crime, but was relieved by members of the Imperial Inquisitorius, who brought him before Galactic Emperor Palpatine himself. ![]() ![]() As a Force-sensitive youth, Qaga Lok had found work as a mercenary, and at some stage he killed several Imperial officers. Sedriss QL, born Qaga Lok, was a Human Dark Side Adept and Military Executor of the Galactic Empire in 10 ABY. He can make you as powerful as he's made me!" ―Sedriss - Listen ( file info) Most of the senior officers and other high-priority enemy targets would be clustered together across several levels of the bridge during operations, and if its bridge was left without shielding or destroyed, the Executor-class Star Destroyer would largely cease to function." If you're smart you'll join the Emperor, Skywalker. This vulnerability, along with the structural design of the bridge, could be disastrous for the ship. These structures have often been mentioned as a potential weak point, as a concerted attack on them could cause one or both of them to be destroyed, leaving the bridge completely exposed. The spheres power the ship's formidable shielding, as well as allow for long-range communications to and from the ship. ![]() The Executor-class's bridge, which contains large deflection/communication spheres, is at its rear another common feature throughout the Star Destroyer range. These engines add to the fear factor of the ship, glowing blood-red, rather than the more normal blue. The massive cargo capacity can even be used to store a fleet of smaller ships within itself.Īs with many large ships, the Executor is not fast, despite its thirteen colossal thrusters pushing it along with their massive power. The quarters can house the entire crew and many more troops for ground operations with ease, meaning that the Executor-class can carry out battles both space and ground-side without any fleet support. The hull, unlike that of other Star Destroyers, is relatively smooth, with all the crew areas concentrated in one section in the centre, which many have likened to a city. This version, however, is far more powerful than any model before it and its armaments dominate any other ship in production along with a reinforced hull that allows the Executor to take a significant amount of damage without requiring repairs. The Executor-class Star Destroyer, more commonly referred to as a Super Star Destroyer (SSD), is the largest ship ever constructed and continues the tradition of the Star Destroyer series with its dagger-shaped structure. ![]()
